Nature² works seamlessly with most chemical treatment programs. The only exceptions are biguanide products and copper-based algaecides.
Yes. With Nature², you’ll use less chlorine and spend less time adjusting your water balance. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning baskets, vacuuming, and testing, will still be part of pool care, but day-to-day upkeep feels simpler.
No. With Nature², mineral levels stay well below the threshold for staining, so you can enjoy clear water with confidence.
No. Ionizers introduce copper or metal alloy ions through an electrical process or by dissolving salts into the water. Nature² uses a mineral cartridge system designed to deliver consistent purification without electrical components.
Because Nature² works efficiently in the background, super-oxidation is needed less frequently. If the water ever appears dull or cloudy, a shock treatment will restore clarity. Each new cartridge requires an initial chlorine shock at start-up. Be sure to follow the chlorine manufacturer’s label instructions.
Yes. Nature² works with a low residual level of chlorine to keep water properly sanitized. In many pools, chlorine can be reduced to just 0.5 ppm. The result is water that feels softer and more comfortable, without the heavy chlorine presence of traditional systems.

Nature² is not compatible with chlorine-free PHMB, or “biguanide,” disinfectants such as Baquacil, Revacil, and Oxyline. To ensure effectiveness and safety, it should also not be combined with other copper-based products.
Nature² Express
Nature² Express makes it easy to bring the benefits of mineral technology to your existing pool with quick, do-it-yourself installation. The unit connects to the plumbing of most in-ground and above-ground systems. As water flows through the cartridge during normal filtration, silver and copper minerals work to destroy bacteria. The result is clearer, more comfortable water with significantly less chlorine* and fewer harsh odors.
*Compared to the minimum EPA approved level of 1.0 ppm for a stabilized swimming pool.
Nature² Express must be installed on the return side of the pump, after the filter. It may be positioned before or after a heater, but always before any automatic chlorine dispenser, if one is used. For complete details, refer to the installation manual for proper plumbing guidance.
Nature² Express is rated for pools up to 25,000 gallons. It is not recommended to use multiple Nature² Express units on larger pools. For pools over 25,000 gallons, Nature² offers other purifier options designed to match your pool size.
